RJ45 Ethernet & RJ11 Network Cable Tester

Test network and telephone cables quickly with this portable RJ45 and RJ11 cable tester, designed to help identify common wiring faults during network installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Suitable for compatible Cat5, Cat6 and Cat7 RJ45 network cables as well as RJ11 telephone cables, the tester uses an easy-to-read LED sequence to help detect incorrect wiring, open circuits, shorts and crossed connections. It is useful for checking homemade Ethernet patch cables before connecting them to routers, switches, computers, security cameras and other network equipment.

Two selectable test speeds provide flexibility during inspection. The standard mode runs the sequence more quickly, while the slower “S” mode makes individual LED indicators easier to observe. A dedicated G indicator can also be used to help identify shielded cable connections.

Compact and lightweight, the tester features a durable ABS plastic housing for convenient use at home, in the office or by electricians and network technicians. It operates using one 9V battery, which is not included.
